The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists ( BACP) requires all accredited members to have 1.5 hours of clinical supervision each calendar month as well as a commitment to ongoing training through continuing professional development.
Clinical supervision is a collaberative process. My aim as supervisor is to create a space where you feel safe enough to open up and really explore what is happening for you as you sit in relationship with your client. I offer supervision to counsellors working with people 18 years and older.
In our first meeting we will explore your expectations of supervision and work together to create some goals and ideas of how you would like to use the space.
I started by own counselling business in 2002 and was successful in tendering for a number of contacts in an NHS Primary Care setting, this work also involved mentoring newly qualified counsellors. I have experience of working with Supervisees in NHS settings, Private Practice and Bereavement services.
I completed a Certificate in Creative Supervision in July 2013. The course was accredited by the British Psychodrama Association, member organisation of the UKCP.
