When and how do I collect information from you?:
I only collect information about you when you use the email or phone number provided by this website to contact me with a general enquiry regarding therapy.
What type of information is collected?:
The personal information collected will include the email address or phone number you use to make your general therapy enquiry, and whatever information you choose to share with me as part of that enquiry, including your name and additional contact details if given.
How is your information used?:
I use your information to respond to your enquiry. For instance if you email or phone me with a general therapy question, I will seek to respond in a way that is both relevant and helpful. I keep emails and log of phone calls for a short period of time after you have contacted me, so I can continue to offer an efficient service if you make further contact.
How long is your information kept for?:
I keep general enquiries about therapy for a period of one month, after which emails are deleted. If you have contacted me about a complaint I will keep your information until the complaint has been satisfactorily resolved.
Who has access to your information?:
As a rule I am the only person who can have access to your information, unless you've given me your consent to pass it on to a third party or if you disclose information that leads us to believe someone is at risk of serious harm. In the latter case, and particularly if it involves a child, I may have to break confidentiality in order to protect those at risk. I will not share, sell or rent your information to outside parties for marketing or any other purposes.
Accessing your information:
You have the right to ask for a copy of the I hold about you, and to request for it to be updated or deleted at any time.
How your information is protected:
I take your privacy extremely seriously and take all necessary steps to make sure your information is held securely once I am in receipt of it. I do this by using a range of manual and electronic security measures. Emails to us are transmitted over the internet which cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore the transmission of any information to us by email is at your own risk.
16 or under:
As a rule I only work with people 18 or over. If you are aged 16 or under please get your parent or guardian's permission before you provide me with any personal information.
